Did you know that a even a minor unpaid ticket can turn into a warrant if forgotten or misplaced? If you have received a traffic ticket in Missouri City and have not taken care of paying your fines, there is still time!

Offenders will be offered the opportunity to settle their fines without going to jail during the Statewide “Warrant Round Up” that Missouri City is currently participating in.  Starting February 19 through March 13, past due fines will be accepted in person, by phone and online by individuals in an effort to help them avoid the risk of arrest by the Missouri City Police Department and their homes, schools, and places of employment.

There are more than 8,144 outstanding warrants in Missouri City that totaled more than $1,457,683 in past due fines dating all the way back to 1980.  If the fines are not settled, individuals will risk not being allowed to renew drivers licenses or be subject to be pulled over by police.


Gas Prices Drop for Fort Bend

Fort Bend area gas prices have dropped 3 cents per gallon in the past week. The average price for gas in Fort Bend is now only 2.5 cents per gallon! In fact, according to HoustonGasPrices.com, national gas prices fell 2.3 cents per gallon in the last week, dropping the average prices down to a low 2.7 cents per gallon.

The prices for gasoline have fluctuated over the past several months, in comparison to those of just a year ago, with recent prices reflecting 28.3 cents per gallon higher than October, 2009 and 5.3 cents higher than they were just one month ago.

During the last month the national average has increased 1.8 cents per gallon and it is also 20.7 cents higher than one year ago. So, planning to fill up your tank each time you stop at the pump may really save you some money this month!
