On Saturday, June 5, from 4pm-8pm the Texana Center in Rosenberg will host the Texana Trumps Autism Crawfish Boil, held at the Texana Center and sponsored by local dealership Legacy Ford Lincoln Mercury.

Autism is better known as a childhood disease than ever, with a diagnosis of autism occurring in 1 out of every 100 children, and 1 out of every 58 boys.  Autism manifests itself in various ways and to differing degrees in these children, often changing as the child gets older.  It’s a great charity to aid the Autistic children of Fort Bend and its surrounding areas, so come enjoy some great crawfish for a good cause!

Since 1998 Methodist Sugar Land Hospital has been serving the Richmond community and River Park West residents. They are committed to compassionate and quality care, and are dedicated to fighting and preventing cardiovascular diseases, which affect 80 million (1 in 3) American adults. Recently the hospital was recognized for their outstanding work and commitment to educating the community on cardiovascular diseases through advertising.

In order to reach the community the Methodist Sugar Land Hospital created a TV advertising program with information about cardiovascular disease, as well as what services are available to help treat both cardiac and vascular diseases. For this exemplary advertising work the hospital received a Gold Award by the CardioVascular Advertising Awards (CVAA) - the nation’s premier advertising awards program.

The CVAA was impressed with Methodist Sugar Land Hospital’s program. “It was a privilege to have Methodist Sugar Land Hospital participate in this prestigious awards program,” shared Randy Lucas, CVAA Program Director. “Methodist Sugar Land Hospital exceeded all expectations for quality and excellence in Cardiovascular Communications.” The CVAA recognizes outstanding quality for healthcare marketing in the cardiac and vascular sectors exclusively, so they know what to look for in quality.
