The City of Sugar Land hosts the ultimate Cinco de Mayo fiesta on Saturday, May 5, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at Sugar Land Town Square.

Sugar Land Regional Airport and its GlobalSelect brand service center have recently been recognized once again among the top operation centers in America.

GlobalSelect is the airport’s Fixed-Based Operator (FBO), which is essentially what makes an airport run. FBOs provide services such as supplying aircraft fuel, catering, flight and airport crews, parking and much more. GlobalSelect is owned and operated by the City of Sugar Land.


Ft. Bend Library Exhibit to Feature Works

The exhibit, “In a Nutshell: The Worlds of Maurice Sendak,” will be on display at the Fort Bend County Libraries’ George Memorial Library, from March 8, to April 20.

This showcase will feature famed illustrator Maurice Sendak, whose works include Where the Wild Things Are, and more than 100 other children’s books, as well as providing a look at his life as the son of Jewish immigrants in 1930s New York City. 

The George Memorial Library will be the only library in Texas selected to host this traveling exhibition.


Sir Winston Churchill is remembered by history as being one of the greatest figures of the 20th Century. He will forever be honored for providing the leadership that saved Great Britain from the tyranny of Nazi Germany as prime minister during World War II.

Hear all about the legacy of Prime Minister Churchill from his great grandson Jonathan Churchill Sandy, speaking at the Masonic Lodge in Historic Downtown Richmond on Saturday, February 11, at 7:00 pm.

Dog Exhibit Opens at HMNS-Sugar Land

The Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land is debuting a new exhibit sure to get your tail wagging.

“The Nature of Dogs” opens Friday, December 16 and lasts through February 19, 2012.


Child Advocates of Fort Bend present the 20th Annual CASA Christmas Home Tour on Friday and Saturday, December 9 and 10, at locations across the Sugarland and Fort Bend areas.

This tour will showcase some of the area’s most beautiful homes and neighborhoods lavishly decorated for the holidays. More than 2,000 residents are expected to take this year’s tours.
