A new book club for Sugar Land reading lovers is set to hold its first monthly meeting in the area’s beautiful new state-of-the-art library.
The University Branch Library of the Fort Bend County Library debuts its monthly book club on Monday, January 9, at 1:30 pm, and will meet every second Monday of the month henceforth.
The book that will be discussed at the premier meeting will be Little Bee, a novel by Chris Cleave.
Books read at each meeting will vary, but range from all-time classics, to current bestsellers, and everything in between.
The University Branch Library opened in November and is a joint project between Fort Bend County, the University of Houston System at Sugar Land, and Wharton County Junior College. It is more than 40,000 square feet and features meeting rooms, a computer lab, free wifi, children’s rooms and much more.
The University Branch Library is located at 14010 University Blvd., in Sugar Land.
