Brazos Bend State Park Summer Youth Programs Available for 2 ½ to 12 Year Olds

This summer the Brazos Bend State Park and their park volunteers will host weekly, single-day, explorer camps for children between the ages of 2 ½ and 12 years old.

For the younger, 2 ½ to 6 year olds, five Tuesdays between June and August, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.mm, the park will hosts Eco-Explorer Tadpoles sessions. Tadpoles will learn about insects, birds, and worms, do crafts, and sing songs—come have a great summer of great memories for your little Tadpole!

On nine Thursdays between June and August, from 9:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m., the park will hosts Eco-Explorer sessions for the oldest adventurer’s ages 7 to 12 year olds. These sessions will include walks through the wetlands, the study of fish, birds, insects, and animals. Plus, they will learn about water quality as they test and study the nearby water sources. This will be a great summer program for your budding ecologists!

Hurry and sign up, as each session is limited to only 25 participants. The cost of both programs is $2 per session, or pay a bargain $8 Tadpole or $14 Explorer for a package including all sessions. Visitors to the park 12 and always just $5 per visit, but check out the Texas Park Pass for more savings this summer!
